Professional Opportunities

What can I do with this degree/certificate after I graduate?

A recent survey of program graduates underscored the program's success in preparing professional counselors for the religious community. Following graduation and the completion of their training, 85% of our responding graduates were found to be working in the mental health field. The majority of our graduates currently work in private practice settings as well as group practices. Graduates choosing this direction generally undertake post-graduate training through the Family Institute, thus deepening their competence and readying themselves to join the professional community.

Graduates have also used their education to serve as school/guidance counselors, providing counseling services for families of children with learning difficulties. Our alumni can be found teaching psychology-related topics, either in academic, institutional, or community settings. For those of our graduates who aspired to advanced degrees, such as doctorates, the Master's degree at Neve served as a substantive foundation for their academic and professional development.

Other graduates have found that because of their special interests and skills, the ideal form of community service involves creating and/or administering human service organizations - addressing the needs of teens at risk, for instance, or helping individuals and their families cope with life-threatening illness.

Graduates who chose to pursue a career in healthcare and educational settings, report satisfaction in being able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills gained from the Neve program. Their experiences at the Center for Foreign Studies, has enabled them to contribute to society at a deeper and more sophisticated level.
