Masters of Science in Sociology


Academically grounded and clinically substantial, the masters program is unique in its interdisciplinary framework and its orientation to the needs of the religiously observant community. Students develop theoretical insights and analytic skills drawn from psychology and sociology, while learning a range of applied approaches from the counseling profession.

Our outstanding graduate faculty brings to bear academic, research, and clinical expertise. Clinical faculty and supervisors share insights and approaches drawn from their expertise in serving the Dati/Charedi community. Small classes and intensive formats engage students in learning that is personally meaningful as well as professionally essential.

The program of study includes 36 graduate credits, and successful completion of a comprehensive examination. Students in the Masters program will be eligible for the Certificate in Mental Health and Family Studies after completing 30 credits of clinical courses. Those enrolling full-time can complete the program in two years; part-time enrollment is also an option.
