GREETINGS FROM THE DEAN

DR. YISRAEL LEVITZ

We welcome your interest in the academic and clinical training programs offered at the Center for Foreign Studies, situated on the beautiful campus of Neve Yerushalayim in Jerusalem.

If you are an individual who aspires to become a professionally trained counselor or family therapist, serving the needs of the religious community, then you should consider one of the two unique educational programs offered at the Center for Foreign Studies.

The Center's academic and clinical training programs not only provide a rich and substantive knowledge base for understanding the complexities of the human condition, but also a rare opportunity for personal growth and enhanced interpersonal skills.

Over the years our students have benefited from an outstanding academic and clinical faculty who combine years of academic experience, extensive research, seasoned clinical practice, and a commitment to community service. It is certainly one of the many reasons why our Master's of Science degree program, under the auspices of the University of North Texas is authorized by the Israel Council of Higher Education.

We are particularly proud of our many graduates who are now successful professionals in their respective communities throughout Israel and beyond. Our alumni have assumed a wide range of professional roles. While many have gained prominence as independent practitioners, Family Therapists, or School Counselors, others have founded critical service organizations, clinics, hospices, treatment centers, and a variety of specialized mental health services.

We are gratified that our alumni contribute so significantly to the well being of so many. For not only are they realizing their own personal and professional aspirations but are fulfilling our institutional mission as well.

You too might wish to consider fulfilling your dreams of becoming a professional mental health practitioner. Applying to one of our programs could be the first step toward the exciting and gratifying career that you've always wanted.

B'Hatzlacha,

Yisrael Levitz, Ph.D
