Neve Yerushalayim College, established in 1970, offers women a high-quality Jewish studies curriculum relevant to contemporary Jewish life. Students are accepted into the College with prior backgrounds in Jewish studies that range from the most rudimentary to the highly advanced. Every student, however, finds a course of study suitable to her level that is both challenging and stimulating.
The college has three schools, each taught in a different language, but all with a parallel educational program. The Neve School of General Jewish Studies (SGJS), the largest and oldest of the schools, has an English-speaking student body that originates from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, South Africa, and other English-speaking countries. Neve Shoshana is designed for Hebrew-speaking students mainly residing in Israel. Neve Nerlitz is designated for French-speaking students who come from France and other French-speaking countries.
Neve Yerushalayim College students are well educated and intellectually curious. The majority are professionals while others are in the midst of their college education. They seek an exposure to Jewish thought that will complement their academic achievements. They are interested in studying the foundations of Jewish knowledge in an environment that recognizes and responds to their intellectual and personal maturity.
Neve Yerushalayim encourages students to seek their own level of expression within Jewish observance and to enjoy a sense of freedom regarding religious growth.
