FAQ
WHO GRANTS MY B.A. DEGREE?
Thomas Edison State College of New Jersey (TESC), which is accredited by the Middle States
Association of Colleges and Schools, will award you a B.A. degree. Middle States
Association of Colleges and Schools accredits such schools as Columbia University, Queens
College, Princeton University, Touro College, and Yeshiva University.HOW DOES THE THOMAS EDISON DEGREE COMPARE TO OTHER SCHOOLS?
Every parent and student should be concerned about the quality of education received.Forbes Magazine and the New York Times have lauded Thomas Edison as the preeminent off-campus learning facility. Our graduates have advanced to Johns Hopkins, Columbia, Yeshiva University, Rutgers, University of Southern California and New York University, among others. If you are contemplating graduate school, contact your school of choice. You will discover that Thomas Edison graduates have successfully gained admission to their preferred graduate programs.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF MORESHET/MAALOT-ZAIDNER IN MY DEGREE
ACQUISITION?
All of the Moreshet courses, both kodesh and chol, are part of the broader
Maalot-Zaidner curriculum. We have designed our curriculum to offer
advanced education culminating in a B.A. degree within a supportive seminary
environment. All of our courses transfer to TESC. We work with each student
on a personal plan designed to ensure they meet their requirements within a
desired time frame; students have often completed these requirements in
less than one year.Furthermore, a TESC degree through Moreshet/Maalot-Zaidner includes a Maalot transcript which accompanies the student in her job or graduate school application.
IS THE PROGRAM REALLY COST EFFECTIVE?
We are proud of the fact that we have succeeded in providing the highest
quality B.A. degrees at the lowest cost. There is no competition. Our
agreement with Thomas Edison ensures our students the lowest tuition
option. In addition, our graduates can enter the workplace or graduate
school two years earlier than those studying at a traditional college.DO I RECEIVE CREDIT FOR MY SEMINARY COURSE WORK?
It is preferable for each student to arrange for college transfer credit
before entering the seminary year, either through a regionally accredited
school or through a seminary which provides PONSI credit recommendations. There are ways for students
who lack a college transcript for their seminary studies to retroactively
gain credit for seminary course work. Students should keep examinations
and notes in order to facilitate the earning of these credits.IF I WANT TO FINISH MY DEGREE THROUGH A DIFFERENT COLLEGE,
ARE MY CREDITS TRANSFERABLE?
Students can receive a Thomas Edison transcript for all of our courses. The
school to which a student transfers will have its own regulations. Consult
with their Registrar’s Office to verify credit transfers. Students can opt to
complete their degree through Thomas Edison and include courses taken at
another college.
