Applying to the school
Michlelet Esther opened in September 1995, as a division of Neve Yerushalayim College. For almost forty years Neve has specialized in Jewish education for women and currently conducts more than a dozen distinctive programs to meet the needs of its diversified student population. Michlelet Esther is housed in the beautiful Neve Yerushalayim campus in Har Nof, Jerusalem.
Young women of today are exposed to a myriad of external and internal challenges. Michlelet Esther provides its students with the information and skills to meet these challenges.
The key to the Michlelet Esther experience is in-depth philosophy-based curriculum that provides students with the information and inspiration to lead a lifestyle based on Torah values. Through clear, honest and open classes that encourage questions and lively debate she learns the rationale and reasons for being committed to the Jewish faith. Individual tutorials that provide a framework for developing learning skills and attitudes are an important feature of the program.
To enhance the academic environment, tours are provided throughout the school year. Advocacy and chessed opportunities are available as well as extra curricular activities and self-study projects. Some of our chesed projects include visits to Jerusalem Soup Kitchens, The Jerusalem School for the Blind, Orphanages and Old Age homes.Several Shabbatonim are held during the year in different communities throughout the country. In addition, Michlelet Esther provides a warm, caring environment that makes the student feel at home as soon as she walks through its doors. A mature social atmosphere that fosters personal growth allows the open-minded student to grow at her own pace. A highly regarded support staff provides her with life-skills that help her through the maze of real-life issues confronting a young adult.
