The Maalot Yerushalayim Program

Overview
Since 1984, Maalot Yerushalayim has been the address for the exemplary seminary graduate who seeks to deepen her understanding and commitment to Torah while pursuing a rigorous undergraduate education. To be admitted to this program, a student must have the priorities, goals, and lifestyle of a true Bas Yisroel.

At Maalot, the student can grow both spiritually and intellectually. Its staff of exceptional Torah educators is dedicated to helping each student deal maturely with issues of hashkofa.

Maalot Yerushalayim offers an integrated program of advanced Judaic studies and courses in various academic areas. Maalot coursework can be applied towards an accredited undergraduate degree in the following fields:

  • Art/Graphics
  • Business Studies
  • Computer Science
  • Humanities
  • Liberal Studies
  • Psychology
  • Science
  • Social Science
All 162 courses offered at Maalot/Zaidner have been reviewed by the American Council on Education (ACE). At their most recent evaluation in February 2001, ACE found Maalot/Zaidner Institute’s level of instruction comparable to the instruction at major American colleges and universities.

The many hundreds of students who have applied their Maalot course work towards earning an accredited bachelor's degree, have taken leadership positions in the professional, educational, and business fields. More importantly, a high percentage of Maalot graduates are successfully contributing to their families’ Torah-centered lives.

For a student requiring an alternate Judaic studies program, there are choices among the different Neve Yerushalayim programs.

The dean of Maalot Yerushalayim is Rabbi Nosson Geisler.
