Overview

The Family Institute serves as a unique postgraduate training center in counseling and family therapy for religious women who have successfully completed graduate level studies in mental health-related fields. Its goals are to enhance conceptually based practice and to advance clinical skills; in order to better meet the counseling needs so critical to Israel's religious community.

The following learning opportunities are offered:         

  • Clinical Internship Program -- meeting the standards of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors. 

  • Externship -- supervised one-way mirror observation teams

  • Individual and Group Supervision   

  • Peer Supervision Groups

  • Professional Library providing family and psychotherapy literature

  • Audiovisual Library/Learning Lab

  • Grand Rounds

  • Child Therapy Training

  • Domestic Violence Training--for the treatment of abuse victims

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy Training

  • Professional Development Programs -- Seminars, Minicourses, Summer Institute
