Certificate Program in Mental Health and Family Studies

The Family Institute of Neve Yerushalayim offers an intensive two-year, 33-semester hour program leading to a Certificate in Mental Health and Family Studies. Successful completion of the certificate requirements will grant eligibility to apply to The Institute’s advanced training program in Counseling and Family Therapy.

The Mental Health and Family Studies Program develops initial competencies in professional counseling skills across a broad spectrum of practice fields, and provides a strong conceptual foundation for future clinical practice. Although this is a non-degree program of studies, it is nevertheless both intensive and demanding in its training of future counseling professionals.

The objective of the program is to help religious men and women (in separate tracks) develop a high level of "culturally sensitive clinical competency" in the field of counseling and family therapy in preparation for service to the Dati/Charedi community in Israel. It is intended as a path to a meaningful professional career in counseling.
