We wish to inform our audience as you are now considering your plans for the summer, about an enjoyable and very worthwhile experience in which Rabbi Dovid Refson, our Dean, will be a key participant.

The program is called Discover U, and it is sponsored by the kiruv organization, Oorah. This is a program designed for college-age women of various levels of Jewish background who want a vacation that offers something for the mind and neshama as well. There are two and four week sessions available from June 26th through July 22nd.

The grounds are in Gilboa, NY, which is high up in the Catskills ski country. It is a pristine area of rolling green hills and natural beauty.

Discover U will host our own Rabbi Refson, as well as other well-known teachers like Rebbitzen Naama Lerman, Director of Horeini, and Rabbi Avi Davidowitz, Dean of Torah Academy of Brooklyn. They and others will be there to conduct classes, lead thought-provoking discussions and answer your questions.

The facility is absolutely top-notch, state-of-the art. Many of the buildings are recently renovated, spacious and airy. The sleeping quarters come equipped with full air-conditioning and heat. There’s a brand-new sports complex with professional playing fields, and the property is also a farm stocked with an entire menagerie of domestic and exotic animals. There’s a beautiful outdoor pool area and a spacious indoor pool as well.

So as you can see, you’ll enjoy the recreation part of your vacation. The mind-and-neshama part is equally impressive.
