NEVE YERUSHLAYIM - The Jewish Educational Network

The Bnos Chava Seminary is a one-year teachers training program for recent Bais Yaakov high school graduates who enter the school with advanced standing in Torah studies. The school is located on the beautiful campus of Neve Yerushalayim in Har Nof, Jerusalem.

Founded in 1988, Bnos Chava quickly gained a reputation as one of the leading teachers seminaries in Israel. The school is known for its outstanding faculty and for its emphasis upon a strong student/teacher relationship.

Bnos Chava's challenging curriculum places great emphasis on in-depth understanding and appreciation of Jewish learning and spiritual values. A high standard of excellence is maintained throughout the school year.

In addition to taking high-level courses in limudei kodesh, students participate in seminars in pedagogy and methodology conducted by prominent figures in the field of Jewish education. They also observe experienced teachers at work and engage in supervised student teaching in actual classroom settings. As a result, the teachers-in-training are well prepared for a teaching career. Successful graduates of Bnos Chava receive a diploma qualifying them to teach in Jewish schools throughout the Diaspora.

Supplementing the academic studies at Bnos Chava is an extensive program of touring throughout the country. Students also participate in writing and producing a major musical show that is performed for charitable purposes.

Rabbi Dovid Abramov and Rabbi Nosson Geisler are co-principals of Bnos Chava; and Rabbi Yoel Kramer, the noted American Jewish educator, serves as educational consultant.
