The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) helps you receive college credit for what you already know, for a fraction of the cost of a college course. Developed by the College Board, CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program, available at more than 2,900 colleges and universities. Pass any of the 33 CLEP exams and achieve your college and career goals.
Neve offers a various number of CLEP exams in the areas of Social Science, Natural Science, Mathematics, Business, English and Literature, and History.
The CLEP exams are multiple choice and are given on the computer.

The NYU Foreign Language Exam measures your knowledge of a foreign language. Students can take a 12-point or a 16-point exam. Popular choices are Hebrew, Yiddish, German, Spanish and French, though there are many more options.
The 12-point Exam: The NYU Foreign Language Proficiency Exam tests three skills: listening, reading, and writing, that are necessary for everyday communicative tasks. Students are required to answer questions after listening to a passage to demonstrate comprehension, to translate into English and into the test language, and to write a short essay in response to a selection of general topics. Students are given two hours (120 minutes) to complete the entire 12-point exam.
The 16-point Exam: The 16-point exam is comprised of the 12-point exam, as well as a 350-word essay on a more complex subject. In the essay, students are required to write in longer paragraphs about a more sophisticated topic. Students are given three hours (180 minutes) to complete the entire 16-point exam.

The DANTES exams are multiple choice, in written format and have no time limit.
